anyone in the Virginia Beach, Virginia area or near it that has a JRSC on their Intergra GSR that I can get a ride in to see how fast it is ??? Please let me know. Peace.

Yeah, I don't know about the reliability and all of the vortech. The jrsc certainly seems to be pretty reliable compared to anything else.
But see, I was also looking at it from the fact he's got that kit running 12s on a 1.6 engine. When one compares it to 1.8 and crvs with jrsc it doesn't look so bad from here.
I was wondering if it would be easier on an engine than a turbo, (which is the reason I might consider it over a turbo) but then if vortech owners are often slamming into lower gear (like someone said here) to get up on boost -- eh, that might offset that advantage. (cause I've downshifted to take advantage of higher rpm boost, and that seems pretty harsh on a engine running boost if you did it often enough)
To sum up everthing people are saying above. Without a doubt the JRSC (roots) is the more streetable option. The Paxton (centrifugal) is more for drag use only purposes due to the higher revs needed to make boost.
The Paxton will make only 2-3 PSI at cruising speeds (3500rpm), and will SLOWLY build up to its peak PSI (8-12psi)in the last one thousand RPM of its RPM band (usually right before redline or in redline). Where as the roots style (JRSC) will create 2-3PSI at idle, 5-6psi or 90% of its peak boost by 3500rpm and will hold it's peak PSI for the last 3000rpm of it's rev range.
So If you are comparing a 6psi roots to a 12psi centrifugal, they are making close to the same average HP through each gear (generally 3000rpm long 5000-8000rpm). The roots has the advantage at the bottom of the gear (2 vs. 6 psi at 5000rpm)and the centrifugal has the advantage at the top of the gear (6 vs. 10 psi at 8000rpm).
I would take roots over a centrifugal any day....
